When Harvey thought about who to ask to be our Patrons, he started at the very top of the list, asking people who we have the greatest admiration for. People who have the idea of a community in their hearts and perhaps in their work too.

So we are more thrilled to introduce the Patrons of Vox Holloway…

DAME EMMA THOMSON

Emma Thompson is an award winning actress and writer who has lived all her life in North London. She has appeared in countless films both arthouse and blockbuster: Henry V, The Remains Of the Day, Harry Potter, Nanny McPhee and many, many more.

Emma went to Camden School for Girls and then Cambridge University.

Kevin McCloud is best known for presenting Grand Designs on Channel 4 but has survived a variety of careers as a designer, manufacturer and architecture critic. He now runs HAB Housing which is dedicated to building beautiful, enjoyable and highly sustainable housing schemes where community can flourish.

“I HAVE KNOWN AND LOVED HARVEY AND HIS WORK FOR 35 YEARS. IN PARTICULAR WE BOTH HOLD A BELIEF IN COMMUNITY ACTIVITY AND THE SHARING OF EXPERIENCE AMONG THE WIDEST NUMBER OF PEOPLE. IT’S AN HONOUR TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH VOX HOLLOWAY”

LEE HALL

Lee Hall born in Newcastle has written for radio, TV, film, opera and musical theatre, including Spoonface Steinberg (BBC Radio 4), both the film and musical of Billy Elliot, and The Pitmen Painters (Live Theatre, Royal National Theatre). He has collaborated with Harvey Brough on several projects: Requiem in Blue, Valete in Pace and Beached – the Opera.
