Rehearsals restart
After a totally tropical half-term (well, it was in our dreams) rehearsals restart for Thecla on Tuesday 12/6/12 at 1930. See you soon!
Join us this term
Do you have some musical ability and interest? Have you thought about singing in a choir but were nervous about trying it? Come and sing with Vox Holloway based at St Luke’s Church in Holloway.
Led by artistic director Justin Butcher, Vox Holloway is making a name for itself as the leading community choir of North London. Its members have mixed abilities but a common purpose: to sing interesting music in a disciplined but fun environment.
Rehearsals: Tuesdays from 7:30-9:30 pm, starting from May 8 Rehearsal and concert venue: St. Luke’s Church, Hillmarton Road, N7 9RE Concert: Sunday, July 8 (afternoon rehearsal, evening concert)
Fees: A donation of £30 to cover rehearsal expenses is requested.
Work with leading composer Harvey Brough on Thecla a new, exciting and accessible but challenging piece
Perform with an outstanding professional band of 12 and with superb solo singers Clara Sanabras, Mark le Brocq, and Omar Ebrahim. Scores will be available at the first rehearsal. Audio aids to help you learn the music are available.

Video of A Particulare Care
The first section of a new piece by Harvey Brough, composed for Vox Holloway, the community choir of North London. Performed on Easter Monday 2012. All proceeds from the concert and from sponsorship go to charities for homeless children in London and East Africa. Harvey wrote the piece for no fee, but has asked people to sponsor him to do so, with all the money raised going to the charities.
