Vox Holloway is a member of the National Federation of Music Societies. As such, we receive information of events in which choir members can be involved. All choir members are asked if they want to join in a concert at the Albert Hall on July 8th which may be part of the cultural Olympiad. The concert includes Karl Jenkins’ ‘The Armed Man’ and a new work ‘Pantheoin’. There is an optional workshop in the afternoon.
Tenors are being asked if they want to join a trip to Granada at the beginning of March, organized by ‘The Really Big Chorus’/Concerts from Scratch’. The concert will include Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy and a selection from Orff’s ‘Carmina Burana’. The cost is £735 with a special offer for early responses.
And all choir members are invited to be in a scratch ‘Mozart Requiem’ at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 12 May, with the English Festival Orchestra
Ruth will bring further details to the VH rehearsal on Tuesday.
