Next term is going to be festive!
Christmas Music through the ages and from around the world – Vox Holloway’s next concert is announced
Medieval carols, music by Vittoria, Sweelinck, Poulenc, Tchaikovsky, Britten and several new arrangements by Harvey Brough.
With soloists from London Voices including Clara Sanabras, James Murray, Piano and Organ and the Young Dissenters youth choir.
First rehearsal: Tuesday 13 September, sign-up from 7pm for a 7:30pm singing start, St Luke’s Church Concert: Sunday 4 December, 7:30pm, St Luke’s Church. Come and join us.
We are recruiting young singers to join the Young Dissenters choir for concerts this term. If you are interested, please contact us via the contact box on the right.
The Young Dissenters are led by Harvey Brough and Naomi Hammerton.
We will be meeting at St Matthias Church, Wordsworth Road, Stoke Newington, N16 8DD on Thursdays (3 45 pm – 5pm) from the 15th of September.
All sessions are FREE to all singers, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Chorus of Dissent.

Year of Jubilee – Sunday 26 June – concert tickets
Online ticket sales for tonight’s Year of Jubilee Tickets have ended.
Tickets will be available to buy on the door tonight and are priced at £15 (£10 under 18/unwaged).

This term at Vox – The Year of Jubilee
Rehearsals for this term start on Tuesday 12 April with sign-up from 7pm for a 7.30pm singing start. Here is some info if you are considering joining us for the first time.
This term we will be singing The Year of Jubilee: a programme of old and new spirituals, telling the amazing story of the Fisk Jubilee Singers – the first slaves to be educated, who then formed a choir and toured the world to raise funds to build their University.

Concert: Sunday 26 June, 7:30pm, St Luke’s church.

A Hum about Mine Ears concert, Sunday 6 March
Join us this Sunday 6 March for our concert, A Hum about Mine Ears, taking place in the Barbcian.
A composition by Clara Sanabras, orchestrated by Harvey Brough, which sets Shakespeare’s The Tempest in new surroundings.
Vox Holloway will be performing with the Chorus of Dissent and the Britten Sinfonia. The performance will be conducted by Harvey Brough.
Tickets are £5 and are available to buy through the Barbcian.
Performance start: 6pm
